Concrete Assistance
Guidelines are as follows:
Persons in need of emergency food pantry assistance can be self-referred or referred by service providers. Emergency food assistance is a charitable service provided free of charge based on individual need.

A Declaration of Need form indicating income level falls within required federal guidelines for the year is required. Request and participation implies acceptance of donated items.

Persons requesting assistance must provide address, family size and ages of children, if any, for statistical purposes and service needs. An ID card for identification and record purposes as required by State law and HIPAA will also be required.

An appointment is necessary and important to protect the confidentiality of other clients present, and in order to provide the one-on-one assistance our clients deserve.

We will do our best to recommend other resources available in the community. In doing so, we reserve the right to request additional information necessary to help us make a clinical determination of additional need.

No individual who has received food assistance from our food pantry in the past is turned away as long as there is a genuine need and the need can be properly documented; however, due to budget constraints, food provided is based on emergency and should not be seen as ongoing sustenance. Other forms of assistance should also be sought as a source of continued assistance or permanent sustenance.

We offer emergency food pantry assistance:

Mental health needs are often exacerbated by concrete needs. Concrete needs are those that can only be satisfied with tangible goods such as food, heat, etc., and which are essential for daily living. An inability to meet concrete needs may increase levels of anxiety and depression.
